Job Title: Engineering Technician

Summary Job Description:
Will perform test of sputtering systems for CD and DVD. Work will include hookup of facilities (water, air, proces gases and power), assembly of mechanical and electrical components, debug (leak check/repair, electrical troubleshooting) and running of completely assembled tool to qualify functionality and process performance. Will have the responsibility of maintaining all lab equipment at the highest performance levels. Will also perform engineering experiments under the supervision of the lead project engineer. Will also perform periodic maintenance on in-house facilities when necessary (mechanical pumps, chillers, facilities inlets). Some travel will be required (<30%).
Minimum Qualifications/Required Skills:
- A.A. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
- 4 years experience with maintaining/testing/operating sputtering equipment for a capital equipment supplier
- Must be qualified to work with electrical voltage/power up to 208V AC.
- Experience with sputtered film measurement tools
- Experience in storage media market a plus
