Current Openings Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Job Description

Team member of developers in building network management products for our next generation broadband communications software on embedded system.   The candidate will work in a small team responsible for high level protocol development for all of our products.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of C programming experience in designing, implementing, and debugging complex real-time, embedded networking products.
  • BSEE/CS required, MSEE/CS desired.
  • This individual will be working on our next generation home networking products.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, ICMP, IGMP, DHCP, TFTP, SNMP and other networking protocols essential.
  • Experience in implementing SNMPV1/v3 agents a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment essential for success in this position.

Software Engineer (Embedded Systems Device Driver)

Job Description

Develop device driver software on embedded system for broadband communication product.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of real-time embedded system software development experience in designing, coding, debugging, and QA-testing network device drivers.
  • BSEE/CS required, MSEE/CS desired.
  • Working experience of system boot architectures and firmware/software partitioning essential.
  • Experience with debugging tools, such as emulators, source-level debuggers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers very desirable.
  • Ability to understand, communicate and adhere to organizational coding standards required.
  • Coding experience in C, familiarity with PowerPC and MIPS processors architecture, familiar with software development environment under WindowsNT.

Software Engineer (Windows device driver)

Job Description

Develop device driver software on Windows 98/NT/2000 system for broadband communication product.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE/CS required, MSEE/CS desired.
  • Candidate should have 5+ years software design experience with a minimum of 3 years developing device drivers (network device drivers for Windows 98/NT/2000 preferred).
  • Familiarity with the certification procedure of Microsoft NDIS and USB drivers desirable.
  • The candidate will be responsible from software and hardware architecture and specification, code design, implementation and test, through product shipment.
  • Excellent skills with both teamwork and communication will be required.  The candidate should be self motivated and have the ability to work effectively with little guidance.

Responsible for board level and system level design, test and release to manufacture for data over cable applications.  Additional responsibilities include line card board and network interface board design.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ year's H/W Design Engineer experience in system and board level design with BSEE degree, MSEE preferred.
  • Experience with embedded system, networking interfaces. modulator/demodulator, FPGA design.
  • Ability to work individually as well as provide leadership to a small development team.
  • Project and product development management experience is highly desirable.
  • Requires interaction with S/W engineering, manufacturing engineering, and system test engineering.
  • Good problem solving and interpersonal skills are a must.

Responsibilities include the designing of analog and RF circuits, such as PLL, filters and to implement modulation and demodulation DSP.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSEE (MSEE preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in analog and RF design experience.
  • Candidate must have a solid background in basic circuit design and circuit analysis.
  • A must skill of using appropriate RF equipment and performing complex RF measurements.
  • Familiar with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, bit error rate testers, power meters, scalar and vector analyzers and signal generators.
  • Good writing skills are required to properly document your results.
